Computa
Last updated October 30, 2026
Computa is a chat with an AI agent that uses a computer of its own in the cloud to do what you ask. It is published by Eliot Andres (Appflares). It is built to work without knowing who you are. This page explains what the app stores, who it is shared with, and why.
Computa does not ask you to sign up, and it does not ask for your name, email address or Apple ID. On first launch, the app signs in anonymously with Firebase Authentication (a Google service), which gives this installation a random identifier. Your chats and your agent's computer are tied to that identifier, not to you. Our server also records when the app connects, with the app's version and the iOS version, so we know which versions are in use. See Google's Firebase privacy documentation for how Google processes this identifier.
What you write in the chat, and the agent's replies and actions, are sent to our server and stored so your chats come back as they were when you reopen the app. Our server runs on Cloudflare: chats are kept in its database (Cloudflare D1), and while the agent works, a working copy of the chat is kept in Cloudflare Durable Objects. That working copy includes screenshots of the agent's computer and the logs of its work. It is dropped about an hour after the agent finishes; the chat record we keep afterwards does not include the screenshots. Your chats are used only to run Computa, and we may read them to fix problems and improve the service. They are kept until you ask us to delete them (see "Deleting your data" below).
Don't put passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in your messages unless you are comfortable with them being stored and processed as described here.
The computer the agent uses is a virtual machine run by boat.dev. The agent types, clicks, browses the web and takes screenshots on it to carry out your requests, and the app shows you its screen live. Anything the agent does there, such as pages it visits, files it creates or sites it signs in to, stays on that machine, and the websites it visits receive its requests as they would from any browser. The machine is deleted, with everything on it, when it has not been used for about 30 minutes, or when you shut it down from the app.
To write replies and decide what to do on the computer, your messages, the conversation so far and recent screenshots of the agent's computer are sent to the AI model you choose in Settings:
Computa shows no ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use your data to build an advertising profile. We don't sell your data, and we share it only with the services named on this page, which process it to run Computa: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Google Firebase (the anonymous identifier), boat.dev (the agent's computer), and OpenAI or OpenRouter (the AI model you choose). Like any web service, Cloudflare receives your IP address when the app talks to our server; we don't store it with your chats.
To have your chats, their computer and your ChatGPT connection deleted, write to eliot@appflares.com. Since we don't know who you are, tell us enough to find your chats, for example roughly when you used Computa and what you asked it. We will delete them and confirm by email.
Computa is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
If what Computa collects changes, we will update this page and its date.
